Uniform Information
Since its beginnings in the United Kingdom in 1910, Girl Guides has always been a uniformed organisation. Each member country of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts around the world wears a uniform unique to each country's climate and culture. Here in Australia, we introduced a new uniform soon after our centenary in 2010. This uniform was designed in consultation with the Guiding community to be vibrant, modern, practical, and attractive. It's suitable for all occasions from Promise Ceremonies to going on camp!
Here at the Girl Guides Victoria online shop we have everything you need to kit out the top half of your uniform, as well as hats to keep your head both warm and sun-smart! Any navy bottoms can be worn including skirts and dark blue jeans, and shoes should be closed toed and suitable for the activity.
Uniform Requirements
All units require youth and adult members of Guiding to wear a polo shirt or formal shirt to unit meetings. Additional optional items such as sashes, hoodies, fleeces, and hats are also available.

Size Guide
This uniform is more fitted than our previous style, and some people have found they like to upsize, especially for outdoor activities. Some items are also more generously sized than others - the hoodie and fleece for instance. We generally recommend that for the polo shirts, choose a size that is two sizes greater than usually worn.
